Math In definition, the dictionary says this is what math is: “the science of numbers, quantities, and shapes and the relations between them”. This is one definition from the online Merriam-Webster definitions of math. This quickly tells us that math is a form of science that uses numbers and shapes. Lets see what math really is. Math, in terms, is in everything. Try and name something math isn't in. It tells your computer what to do, it is how hot your sweat pants are, and even how many words you could read, write, or type a minute. You might say, “But Emmett, how can math be in my video game? Math is too boring to be in a video game.” My reply, is if you think math is boring, then your wrong. Math may be the dreaded school subject, but it tells your video game how to work, shows the animations on it, and even when you play football, when go forward 3 yards, that's math. One way math has impacted my life is that it was always my strong subject. So the years I spent in elementary school, I helped others with math. Even now, I still sometimes over to the elementary school I used to go to, and tutor math. That is one way math has impacted me. From tutoring to television to video games to chess, math is used. Math runs your computer, television, and video games. In chess, math is used in notation, number of moves, and how long you game was. Math tutoring was just one experience in my life that involved math. How has it impacted you? So the real question is, what is something that does not have math? One person said faith. Well, how long have you had faith ore believed in a certain faith. Death. How many people grieved when you died, how old were you, how many kids did you have? Another person said love, but pretty quickly they found out 1+1=baby. So, yeah, I thought and thought and came to the conclusion: my desk doesn't have math. But then I thought, and realized, how many boards in the desk, how much wood, how much weight? I have come to the conclusion everything has math. Did you know numbers go on forever? If you get to a million, there is always a million and one. Gotten to infinity? There is always infinity and one. Is there anything between one and two? Yes. In fact, they are called decimals, and are written like this: 1.702. there are unlimited decimals in between two numbers like 9.97893, 9.97894, etc. You have learned a nice bit about decimals. Now for fractions, they are almost the same thing; just written in a different form, like 3/4=0.75, .5= 1/2. That is a basic. Fractions are numbers that can be divided easily, like 3/6= 3 divided by 6. Fractions are not always easy to divide though. As you go on, and you 4+99-41.3 over 23, you would wish you had studied. In conclusion, everything has math. I hope you all learned from this that everything has math, even the earth itself. Thank you. This is for educational purposes only. I also hope you learned about decimals and fractions. I hope you all learned this or that about math, and that no matter what you do has math. Also, I hope you all enjoyed this essay. I'd like to thank all of you readers out there who took the time to read this. I would also like to take note that all of this is credible; not Wikipedia.
