Finding Somebody to Love
Have you ever thought, which should I get as a new pet, a cat or a dog? This paper will help you decide between which one suits your personality. A cat is nimble on it's feet and very alert, this makes them excellent hunters. A dog is more laid back but fast, which makes them good hunters. Cat's may want to play more if they are house-cats, whereas dog's will mostly want to just lay on your lap. Cats see the shades of green and the shades of blue, but while they can distinguish between what the color red and the color yellow is, they cannot recognize other colors very good.
Although you may think that a cat just descended from a tiger or lion, it actually descended from an ancient carnivorous cat called a miacid, which lived 62 million years ago. Whereas dog's were descended from wolves, which is why dogs howl at night and also growl. A cat is most closely related to the miacid because it is small, and has very, very sharp and small claws. Dog's are most closely related to wolves; they have almost exactly similar teeth and somewhat the same size.
Dogs are widely known for their help in bird hunting. They bark when they see the bird and allow the hunters to shoot down the goose or duck, therefore they can be very useful in those aspects. They can also be the most loving creatures on the face of the earth. Dogs can feel emotions such as fear, anger, sadness, and stress. Emotions makes them very good sympathizers when you need comfort. Although, when you own a dog, he requires constant care, if you do not brush them at least once or twice every week your dog can develop serious knots. He might be hurt if you try to brush him after a long time of not. They also require a lot of food and a fresh water supply to be healthy, as well as walks and sleep.
The common house-cats are known for their caring and love. Cats can sense emotion as well, and will comfort you. They will try to bring their owners “gifts” of mice and snakes to show their love. Cats need constant brushing three times a week otherwise they will develop serious knots that will not be able to be brushed out. Even though cats do not need walks they do still need to be played with if they are indoor cats because otherwise they become restless and they will start to attack their owners.
In conclusion, my opinion is that cats and dogs have their differences, but are also very alike. Some can be moody and some can be caring. Some can be steadfast and some can be lazy, But all have their own personality and all are different. Whichever one suits your personality is best for you, not whichever one is better than the other. While they may hate each other, they still are alike and different.
