Light
That's all I could see when I opened my eyes. Or rather, when I gained control of them – I don't have eyelids. Light, and pure with walls, flooring, ceiling, whatever. Everything was white and a little to bright for my taste; whatever my eyes were made of caught the light way to well. Everything except a see-through panel to my right.
I could hear – no feel – noises outside the room. It sounded like things were running around, but I didn't quite know what they were even after looking through the panel I mentioned earlier. After all, I had just gained control over my own sight and movements a few minutes ago and when red lights started flashing outside I was rather confused.
A couple of the beings stopped, of course it was next to the panel since that was the only way to see inside the room. I could faintly hear them; although the loud noise seeming to come from the light wasn't helping much. Turning my body – which made a mechanical sound I still don't particularly care for – I started to...roll...closer to them; causing the female one to step back.
There was something I wanted to say. It was a big word; so sad and happy at once. But I couldn't think of it. “I'm...” My voice sounded weird. “I'm...” I repeated, tilting my head up at the two beings pleading for help with the right word.
“No one's controlling it.” The taller, male one said with slight panic in his tone. “I don't know how it's moving on it's own, Katie I think we might have to-”
That's when the female – Katie apparently – shook her head and cut him off. “It's alive.” Yes, that's the word. Alive. “24601, is alive.” Katie said again, looking at her partner. He still looked rather shocked and confused, so I just started rolling forwards again.
“I'm alive.”
