One day I was in my back yard, laying on a bench and enjoying the warmth of the sun. But then I heard this strange noise. It was so quiet that I thought that I was just hearing things at first, but then I heard a loud banging sound! I didn't know where it was coming from until I looked at the fence gate. I slowly approached the gate and cautiously opened it. What I saw in front of me was entirely unexpected. It was a Robot! It had two long arms and had wheels underneath it. It then zoomed into my back yard, drove around in circles, and then suddenly stopped. Not knowing if the robot was dangerous or harmless, I slowly walked towards it. I touched it to make sure if it was still active. It turned around and looked at me. Then it slowly moved one of it's arms forward and touched me. It didn't seem to be a threat, so I nervously said hello. It gave no response. It apparently wasn't programmed to speak. I waved my hand in front of it. It waved back. I took a few steps backward. It followed me. I then realized that I could probably figure out a way to communicate with it. I walked into my house, and the robot followed.
I decided to try to teach it how to wright. I knew that wouldn't be an easy task, but I was desperate to figure out where it came from. It was surprisingly easy to teach it how to wright. In fact, it practically taught itself! The only thing I had to do was teach it the alphabet, and then it looked through a dictionary. After it quickly finished reading the dictionary, it looked through my grammar books. Once it was done with that, the robot grabbed a pencil and paper and started writing! “I am Agribot.” It wrote. I didn't know what an Agribot was, so I searched for the definition on the internet. I learned that an Agribot is a robot that is designed for harvesting fruit. I then asked the robot how it got to my house.
“Well,” it wrote, “I was in a greenhouse picking fruit and harvesting vegetables with other Agribots. But then I malfunctioned and was taken into a small room by some people. Then I was shut down. When I was turned back on, I was working fine, but something was different. There were two people in the room with me, so I tried to get their attention. It worked, but I couldn't communicate with them. Then they took me outside. I didn't know what they were going to do with me, so I escaped. When I was sure I was far enough from the greenhouse, I felt that my energy had depleted. I started to shut down. I was only off for several hours. I think that I went through what you call 'sleep'. I turned back on the next morning and noticed large buildings. I realized that it was a city, so I traveled towards it for two days straight. That is when I went into your neighborhood. Even though it was the middle of the day, I needed to regain more energy by sleeping. Thinking that the residents at your house would be friendly enough to let me stay for the night, I went into your back yard. That is how I came here.” Amazed by his story, I let him stay for the night in the shed in my back yard. The next morning, I went outside to see how the robot was doing. I saw it opening the fence gate, turning around, and waving to me. I waved back. Then he left and continued his journey.
